COVID-19 Self-Test Kit Listing Guide
1.In line with Lazada's continuous commitment to be a fair, and compliant platform which adheres to the laws and regulations of Malaysia, we strive that our customers are entitled to reliable, truthful and accurate information when they shop at Lazada.
Maximum Price of Covid-19 RTK Self-Test Kit
2.As such, this guideline requires our partners and sellers to adhere to the regulated Covid-19 self-test kit item under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering (Determination of Maximum Price) (No.7) Order 2021. This price control order will be effective from 5 September 2021 onward.
3.The partners and sellers who sell any Covid-19 self-test kit, regardless of brands, exceeding the gazette price can be penalized under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011.
Who Can Sell Covid-19 RTK Self-Test Kit?
4.Based on the Covid-19 RTK (Self-Test) Requirements Medical Device Guidance Document (MDA/GD/0059, 1st Edition) issued by Medical Device Authority (MDA) in November 2021 (“Guidance Document”), the Covid-19 RTK self-test kit (which are conditionally approved by MDA) can be sold on the online platform by the following bodies:
(a)Licensed pharmacies licensed with Pharmaceutical Services Division, Ministry of Health;
(b)Private healthcare institutions (clinic or hospital) licensed with Private Medical Practice Control Section, Ministry of Health;
(c)Establishment with licensed issued by MDA.
The sellers shall also provide a mechanism to record the distribution and sale information.

5.We will take down any Covid-19 RTK self-test kit listings, (i) which have not been conditionally approved by MDA, or (ii) any Covid-19 RTK self-test kit listings uploaded by anyone other than the personnel referred to in paragraph 4(a) to (c) above, even though those Covid-19 self-test kits have been conditionally approved by MDA. Lazada requires sellers to follow the process of white-listing prior to product listing.
No Advertisement for the Covid-19 RTK Self-Test Kit
6.Based on the Guidance Document, the advertisement for the Covid-19 RTK self-test kit is not allowed. MDA logo is prohibited from being placed on the test kit, its labelling or other materials associated with the sale of the test kit.
7.However, the following materials are allowed to be published for the sale of the Covid-19 RTK self-test kit:
(a)materials which contain exact replica of the packaging as approved MDA; and
(b)materials that only contain price, product pictorial representation, brand, company name and/or logo which do not consist of any claims or descriptions.
What happens if you are flagged - overpriced and unauthorized sale of Covid-19 RTK Self-Test Kit?
8.Overpriced or unauthorized sale of Covid-19 RTK Self-Test Kit will result in temporary suspension of your Lazada seller account and product(s) deactivation until further notice.

9.Miscategorization of COVID-19 Self-Test Kit is strictly not allowed. This product MUST be categorized under Health category with the following category pathway:
Health > Medical Supplies > Medical Tests
Product expiry date must be included for each Covid-19 RTK self-test kit listing.
